Tour...

Come along and take a "virtual" tour of our manufacturing plant in New Washington, Ohio. To enlarge a picture, simply click on it. After you have finished viewing it, hit the "Back" button on your browser.

Stop 1 - Plant: The current C.E. White Co.® manufacturing plant was built in 1970 on the north side of New Washington. The previous location was downtown. The current facility has undergone four additions to give it the current 65,000 square feet of factory and office space.

Stop 2 - Warehouse: Part of the plant is used for warehouse space to stock essential items for The C. E. White Co.'s® products. Frames, foam and thousands of yards of vinyl and fabric are stored so inventories are readily available.

Stop 3 - Cutting and Sewing Departments: The first step to building a new seat is cutting and sewing the materials. The cutting department cuts the material from the hundreds of seat patterns by hand or on a die cutter. The sewing is then done by hand on an industrial sewing machine by a qualified and skilled sewer. Experience in the sewing department ranges up to 30 years under a supervisor with nearly 50 years experience.

Stop 4 - Trim/Seat Stuffing: The next step to builing a seat is the trim department. This is where the frame, foam and cover all come together. Seats are done by hand or on a new automated seat line for quality and consistency. All of this is done under the watchful eye of the quality department and our plant supervisor with over 25 years of experience.

Stop 5 - Testing Lab: Before any new seat is shipped, it must first be in compliance with all federal and state seating specifications. This is done at The C. E. White Co.'s® own certified testing facility. Seats are spot checked for quality as well as compliance, while new seats are strenuously tested for safety, quality, and endurance.

Stop 6 - Packaging: Seats are then carefully packaged for shipping. Common carrier, UPS, or The C.E. White Co.'s® own truck fleet ship across North America. Shipping racks for large orders can be used to ship seats by unit or seat type.

Stop 7 - Shipping: The C. E. White Co.® has it's own fleet of semi trucks and trailers as well as cargo vans for JIT (Just in Time) deliveries within a 300 mile radius.
